About Ana

Postdoctoral researcher, PhD

I studied Biotechnology at Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya and earned a Master's in Genetics and Genomics at Universitat de Barcelona. I began with wet lab research in the Translational Molecular Oncology group at Sant Pau’s Biomedical Research Institute. In 2016, I shifted to computational research, joining the Computational Genomics group at Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where I continued until completing my PhD in 2024. My research focused on cancer genomics and somatic mutations analysing Whole Genome Sequencing data from large and international cohorts. In 2023, I joined the Computational Immunogenomics group at VHIO as a postdoctoral researcher, studying immunoedition in cancer.

I also volunteer with AFANOC and lead Young IT Girls, promoting tech education for girls. In my free time, I practice yoga and I enjoy doing ceramics. I also love music (and art in general), so I often go to concerts.
