About Alexios
Master student
I studied Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. As a Bachelor’s student, driven by my interest in Molecular Biology, I completed an Erasmus+ internship in miRNA Biology in 2023 under the supervision of Xavier Bofill-de Ros at Aarhus University (Denmark). I then continued with a second Erasmus+ traineeship in Bioinformatics in 2024 under the supervision of Francisco García-García at the Príncipe Felipe Research Center Foundation (Spain).

After completing my degree, I moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master’s in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University in October 2024, eager to learn how to study biological phenomena using computational approaches.

In late September 2025, I joined the Computational Immunogenomics Group at VHIO as a Master’s student to conduct my final degree project on cancer metastasis under the supervision of Manuel and Fran.

My hobbies include ballet and contemporary dance, and I also enjoy playing the guitar and singing.
